Map data (mandatory):
Visky has no built-in geographic data. Data is read from a directory named
in the parameter file on a line of form: MapData: dir'. Directory
dir must contain a script named LoadMapData.tcl. Visky will cd
to dir and run LoadMapData.tcl, which reads in data from files
in dir and sets various display parameters. Directory dir can
be anywhere in the file system. I find it convenient to create a directory
named 'mapdata' in my home directory and put my data sets there.
These data sets are available for visky:
- WorldLoRes - low resolution continents,
medium resolution U.S. states, and major U.S. cities.
- NamerHiRes - high resolution U.S. states,
Canadian provinces, and Mexican states. Major American rivers and streams.
Major U.S. highways. Major U.S. towns.
